The Costa Blanca or "White Coast" is an area where there is plenty to do for both golfers and non golfers alike, with excellent safe beaches, watersports, two Aquaparks, Safari Park, horse riding, shopping, many restaurants and general sightseeing all close by. There are four main cities within an hour's drive - Alicante to the north, Elche to the north west, Murcia to the west and Cartegena to the south and two major international airports close by - Alicante and Murcia's San Javia - both within 30 minutes drive. There is a Championship Golf Course within 10 minutes drive and 4 more only a 15 minute drive from this Villa.
This Villa is ideally situated for those that want to get the most out of a holiday, and is only 30 minutes from either Murcia or Alicante Airports. The villa is in a quiet gated community next to the National Park and orange groves and away from main roads. There is a large communal pool directly outside the back garden gate. There are two excellent restaurants within walking distance and a quick 5 minute drive takes you to Ciudad Quesada, with banks, bars and restaurants including Chinese, Indian, Italian, English and of course Spanish cuisine.
The local area Sunday market is within walking distance and is great for local bargains and breakfast. It is only a 5 minute drive to miles of safe white sandy beaches at Guardamar or 10 minutes to Torrevieja with nature parks, salt lagoons, and Europe’s best healing climate according to the World Health Organisation. You can stop and pick a fresh orange or lemon and enjoy the fabulous bounty that nature has gifted to this part of the world. Especially beneficial for those with rheumatism, asthma or skin problems.
Torrevieja is an old fishing town, with its own harbour and small fishing fleet, market and funfair. There are restaurants by the sea and a new development with Hypermarket, Bowling, Cinema, Amusements and a selection of restaurants just outside. Bounded by the beautiful Mediterranean on one side and thousands of acres of fruit groves inland, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and within moments you can be driving in picturesque open countryside, where Trips to Alicante (promenade), Elche (park of palms), Murcia (Gardens, theatre), Cartagena (Roman settlement), Mar Menor (inland sea), La Manga and hiking in the mountains are all within an hours drive on modern roads with little traffic.
Accommodation is to a high standard throughout with marble and granite throughout and consists of:
Master bedroom with Hot/Cold Air conditioning, double bed, bedside cabinets and a built-in wardrobe, radio alarm, TV with UK channels*(see below),and its own sun terrace which is perfect for sunbathing all day.
The 2nd bedroom is also equipped with Hot/ Cold Air conditioning, two single beds, bedside cabinet and built-in wardrobes,and a radio alarm clock. There is a TV showing the same programs as the master bedroom, Playstation 2 with games and controllers (also plays DVD's) and its own sun terrace with views over the communal pool.
The 3rd Bedroom which is on the ground floor is also equipped with two single beds, bedside cabinet, built-in wardrobes, radio alarm clock and a TV showing the same channels* as the main room.
There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. Upstairs is the main bathroom with full-size bath, shower and screen, bidet, WC and wash hand basin. The second bathroom downstairs has a shower, bidet, WC and wash hand basin.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, hob, kettle, all utensils and crockery and cutlery are on hand as you would expect. There is also a utility room with washing machine.
In the main area of the villa you will find a Hot/Cold Air conditioning unit, dining area with table and 4 chairs and the lounge area is equipped with a large corner suite. There are sliding patio doors to the rear garden and communal pool. The lounge has a flat screen plasma TV with UK channels. An ornate Chrome Spiral staircase leads to the upper floor
There is another sun terrace at the front and a gated parking area. At the rear is another terrace with table and chairs directly overlooking the Communal Pool with its feature waterfall, showers and children’s pool.
* There are TWO satellite systems in this property, one for both upstairs rooms, one for the lounge and downstairs bedroom. Channels available at NO CHARGE include Sky News, TCM, BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, Channel 4, TVE2, Antenna 3, ITV2, RTE, Living, Tele 5, TVE1, UK Gold, History, Discovery, SciFi, VH Classic, Boomerang, Canal+, Sky Movies1, Sky Movies 2, Sky One, Sky Sports 1,2,3 and Eurosport.
Whilst there is building work going on around this area this has no direct affect on the gated complex on which the villa is situated.
Please note that most have a strict dress code and require a handicap card to play. The Marquesa course in Quesada is the least formal and welcomes children. La Finca is a new and challenging course, and Villa Martin is beautiful. The new Campoamor requires a 36 or less handicap. Tee times can be booked one week in advance at Las Ramblas and 3 days in advance at Campoamor. Green fees average £25 - £40 for 18 holes. There are 11 more courses within an hour’s drive. Open all year.
