| Villa Details : | Villa Galatea is a luxurious house situated on prestigious Suikerbossie Drive in Gordon’s Bay. Nestled against the slopes of a mountain, its secure location boasts spectacular views across False Bay, overlooking the harbour, yacht club and Bikini Beach. Built on four levels, the upper entrance level has a double garage with remote control, with access to the upper level, which is classically decorated and fully carpeted. It has an entrance hall, a very large sitting room with satellite television, a full kitchen, master bedroom with queen size bed, two bedrooms each with two single beds, a full bathroom, plus a separate toilet in the entrance hall. A large balcony extends across the front of the villa, overlooking False Bay. The lower level is tiled and decorated in African style. It is downstairs, and has another very large sitting room with satellite television, and leading off from this are a full kitchen, master bedroom with queen size bed, two bedrooms each with two single beds, and two bathrooms. A full balcony also extends across the front of this level. Each balcony has a large wooden table and six chairs, for your leisurely breakfast admiring the view over the bay. As well as satellite television, there is a radio CD player in each apartment, with some CDs supplied. The 10m pool (heated to 28 degrees Centigrade year round) and separate barbecue area are on the lowest level, with shaded seating, sun loungers and a shower room with drinks fridge. The pool deck overlooks the bay and is set amidst a large, exotic and totally private garden. Gordon’s Bay itself is reminiscent of the French Riviera and is steeped in character. There are ample restaurants and shops here for all of your everyday needs, along with varied watersport activities. It is only a 10 minute drive to the modern Somerset West Shopping Mall, while Cape Town, the Waterfront and all the amenities of the city are just 30 minutes away. The famous wine routes of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl are all picturesque trips, while trips to Cape Point, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, central Cape Town, Simonstown, the Constantia Valley and Bloubergstrand are just some of the excursions you shouldn’t miss. For those with a yen for wild Africa, visit the West Coast Ostrich farm; penguins on Boulders Beach at Simonstown; buck, ostrich and baboons at the Cape Point Nature Reserve; hand reared cheetah at Spier; lions rescued from zoos at the Drakenstein Lion Park. Whales are often seen in the bay during the whale season, while the scenic drive up the coast to their favourite haunt, Hermanus, will only be a leisurely hour-long drive. So do plan to stay in the bountiful Cape of Good Hope for long enough to see all of the treats it has in store for you.... |
